AMAN LAW, LLC

WELCOME TO AMAN LAW, LLC

Bringing large firm experience and expertise with small firm sensibilities

Before he started Aman Law, LLC, David Aman worked for 18 years at one of the premier large law firms in Portland, Oregon, with more than a decade as a partner of the firm. In 2014, David was named by his peers as one of the top 50 lawyers in Oregon in the Super Lawyers® publication. He was the head of his former firm’s intellectual property practice group for several years and was a member of its litigation group. He brings that experience with the flexibility and affordability of a small firm practice.

David has extensive experience representing plaintiffs and defendants—both businesses and individuals—in many types of litigation cases. They range from real estate, patent/trademark/ copyright infringement, trade secrets, non-competition provisions and other disputes. David has demonstrated that the willingness and ability to represent his clients all the way through trial—but also firmly believes that resolving a case early is often—in fact, usually—in the clients’ best interest.

Although David’s primary background is in litigation, David also regularly reviews and negotiates contracts for his clients. They range from software license agreement and confidentiality or non-competition agreements to real estate contracts.

In addition to his work in the courtroom and otherwise, David has regularly participated in the Annual LAF-OFF Comedy Competition (sponsored by the Campaign for Equal Justice), in which Oregon attorneys volunteer to perform stand-up comedy routines as part of the Campaign's fundraising efforts. David was named co-winner of the King of Comedy award given for the best stand-up performance in 2007.
